Join us for a workshop in our studio space! Workshop participants will get familiar with the incredible plant, Japanese Indigo (persicaria tinctoria) in a small group setting. Indigo has been used to dye textiles for thousands of years! We’ll get acquainted with fresh indigo plants and learn how to process a few different ways to dye one of your textiles. It’s such a fun, special process!
Watching the indigo turn from green to blue feels pretty magical! Come out and join us for a little bit of magic and plant appreciation!
Each participant will go home with their own custom made, unique, indigo dyed organic cotton bandana or cotton market tote bag + fresh indigo dyed piece!
All materials included and supplied:
A variety of textiles to choose from (bandana, tote, socks, etc.)
fresh indigo, indigo vat and other materials
Information about the process and results.

CLASS DETAILS:
Our workshops are located in our upper Lawrenceville studio. There are 3 steps to the front door. Please email with any accessibility questions and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Thank you!
This workshop is for participants 18 and older unless accompanied by an adult. Please email us with questions regarding anyone younger than 18.
For a full refund, cancellations must be made 7 days in advance. If you need to cancel after this, then we will do our best to fill the spot and if we do, then we will offer you a gift certificate for a future workshop or product. You are welcome to transfer or gift the workshop slot to someone in the event you are unable to make it .
Our workshops require a minimum of 4 participants in order to be held. If a workshop does not meet this minimum, you will be notified ahead of time and will receive a full refund.
